Floral teas are spring harvested teas. The most common type of Chinese floral tea is Jasmine tea which is processed with green or white tea and jasmine flowers. Floral teas have delightful and fragrant aromas and flavours. The taste of floral teas in general is much lighter compared to other teas.
At Lam Kie Yuen, we offer many types of floral teas, ranging from naturally jasmine scented teas to natural flowers such as rose buds and osmanthus. Most natural flowers can be used for cooking, drinking alone or used to combine with other teas to enhance the flavours of teas. Floral teas can be drunk as a cold or hot beverage. Natural flowers and floral teas tend to have lower levels of caffeine or are caffeine free which are great relaxing beverages. Floral teas are especially pleasant for drinking in summer as they can reduce body heat.
